Details

Spend an amazing 6 days exploring the beautiful East Coast of Australia! There will be heaps of time for fun activities, relaxing on the beach, snorkelling with the fish and exploring beautiful coastal towns. We will be kicking off the tour at Fraser Island, where you will be spending a few days discovering it's beautiful fresh water lakes, rainforests and sandy white beaches. Next stop we will be heading to the lovely little town of 1770, which borders the southern region of the Great Barrier Reef. We will be visiting the beautiful Lady Musgrave Island which boasts a vibrant coral reef and heaps of marine life for you to discover. We will be wrapping up the amazing tour with a day at the Zoo!

Day 1:

  • 6am Outrigger Hotel Surfers Paradise, 22 View Ave, Surfers Paradise.
  • 7.15am Hotel Jen, 159 Roma Street, Brisbane.
  • 8.30am Big Pineapple Nambour
  • 9.15am Noosa Transit Centre in Noosa Junction
  • 10.30am Rainbow Beach

1.                   Wild Kangaroos spotting at Noosa North Shore

2.                   4WD drive along Teewah Beach to see the enormous sandy cliffs

3.                   See the stunning Red Canyon

4.                  Arrived at Rainbow Beach and experience the amazing 72 different coloured  sands

Day 2:

  • Appreciate the beauty of Eli Creek boardwalk and enjoy the freshwater streams flowing into the ocean

  • Stunning Indian Head lookout to view white sand desert, the beach and ocean, spot dolphins, sharks, turtles, manta rays, sharks and whales (during Whale Season)

Day 3:

  • Breakfast at Eurong Resort
  • Tranquil Pile Valley Rainforest Walk

  • The Great Lakes Drive
  • Swim in beautiful Lake Birrabeen and scrub with the white sands in the tea tree lake

  • Rainbow Beach Backpackers / Motel between 2:00 - 2:30 pm

Day 4

Please be at Spectrum Ave @ Dingo’s Backpacker at 7.30am for the departure of Premier Bus at 7.40am to be taken to Puma Roadhouse, Kybong.  Please wait for the Sunset Safari Coach where the coaches stop.

DAY 5

  • Breakfast at Sandcastles Resort
  • Depart on the Spirit of 1770 for Lady Musgrave Island for our day on the Coral lagoon and spot plenty of marine life including turtles, sharks, dolphins, whales (during Whale Season)
  • Lunch on board the Lady Musgrave Cruise
  • Spectacular scenery of Lady Musgrave Lagoon and Island
  • Feed the fish
  • Underwater observatory on the reef
  • Snorkelling in the lagoon to find “Nemo”
  • Take Submarine rides to view the reef and marine life, great for non-swimmers
  • Take Glass Bottom Boat to view reef and marine life, great for non-swimmers
  • Guided walk on Lady Musgrave Island and see birdlife in the forest of Pisonia trees and turtles during nesting seasons (November to February)
  • Try Optional activities such as

PAYMENT

Your Tour payment is broken up into 2 components, your Sunset Safaris ticket price component ($799), and your Fraser Island - National Park Fees, and Boat Access & Reef Tax component ($90.00 Fraser Island national Park Fees and $185.00 Great Barrier Reef Boat and Reef Fees = Total of $275). The Fraser Island - National Park Fees, ($90.00 on departure for Fraser Island) and Boat Access & Reef Tax ($185 on departure for Great Barrier Reef) must be paid in CASH to driver upon departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY DUE TO STRONG WINDS

Occasionally strong winds will cause the cancellation of the boat that takes us to the Great Barrier Reef. Sunset Safaris will always endeavour to cancel or postpone the excursion to the Town of 1770 before time of departure if winds are too strong. However, due to the unpredictability of winds, we may arrive at the Town of 1770, and be told by the boat company that the trip has been cancelled. In the uncommon event that this occurs, Sunset Safaris will refund the total sum of the purchase price of the Boat ticket and reef tax ($185) at the town of 1770. A range of other activities such as snorkelling and diving in sheltered waters and much more may be arranged by Sunset Safaris Staff at 1770, and these optional activities are then payable by the customer.

CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice incurs a 100% cancellation fee
Cancellations with less than 72 hours, but not less than 24 hours, incurs a 50% cancellation fee
Cancellations with less than 7 days notice, but not less than 72 hours notice incurs a 25% cancellation fee
Cancellations not less than 7 Days notice will incur a 5% cancellation fee (administrative processing).

10:30am - 11:30 am, Spectrum St Bus Stop, Rainbow Beach (cannot return to Rainbow Beach)
